there's no reason not to honor deletes other than wanting to gossip or feel superior to those who do

@boots It makes sense in very limited cases like

say

a paedophile who is talking about his exploits

but I mean

that's an extreme edge case and although I can't say "it'll never come up" it's really unlikely

another thing is if someone is harassing someone else then deleting the posts so there's no evidence

@Elizafox depending on other servers or even the server the user is on to host the posts without any changes is only slightly more useful than screenshots

@Elizafox not to say it isn't a good point, it's just that i don't think it's a case where other things don't work well
