as a reminder I made a PR ages ago for simplified, consistent avatar styling that made all avatars be consistently square with rounded edges (and a one variable change in CSS if you like otherwise!), and Eugen rejected it because he likes the avatars as they are, so don't ever expect to see them gone from masto
