Web developers seem to care more about "OMG PRETTY" and less about "usable" and that makes me sad.
Especially when the choices aren't really that aesthetically better.
Like the round avatar shit is awful.

@ccolocho They're great when they crop out half my face or something, or if my avatar isn't even a face and it crops a flag.

imo round avatars just look better
