For over a week Sharpie(on Twitch) has been trying to beat all the premade tables in "Virtual Pinball" on Sega Genesis as part of a Genesis completion project.
He has been stuck on the same table, "My Break", for over 150 hours with no progress. The table appears to not have been properly tested since it has a jackpot that cannot activate(as it needs all three of the rollover target types and only one type has been placed), and several areas with missing walls that softlock the ball. Nonetheless it is possible to complete the score goal with savestates and patience, or tremendous amounts of luck. The physics and control options are not good enough to use traditional pin techniques effectively.
Sharpie and chat now curse Bill Budge on a regular basis. I am highly amused given how much I like the actual construction set parts of the game(which, TBH, are the focus. It'd just be another of-its-era pinball sim otherwise.)
Sharpie's time on this game has increased to over 230 hours, with "My Break" making up nearly all of the time. He needs to achieve a single run with 6x multiplier to win it, but to date he's only succeeded to reach 5x.
This blows out his previous longest game record, SMS Shooting Gallery, which took only ~167 hours.
@Triplefox "My Break", eh? I'd sure say it's broken some people by now.
