discord having no way of turning this "magic" behavior off is just so endemic in their kind of "we know better than the users" attitude to software
their software is perfect, bugs are not allowed to have workarounds, only fixes, however many years it takes them to get around to it
@steph meanwhile linux users continue to wait for basic features advertised to everyone else
