Heh, the Tyrian APworld got a "Shop only" mode, which is cool. I was doing that with a massive exclude list so I could play all 5 episodes while the drops aren't in for later ones. I think it's a great temporary measure until the patching work is done.

I need to figure out how to get event addresses and timecodes out of OpenTyrian because I bet I could do a lot of this work myself; or at least start it.

@trysdyn Yeah, even if I do prefer playing the randomizer with drops, myself... When I saw you mention that I thought to myself "That's actually pretty clever and works well for a more easygoing experience, I may as well just support that officially", so it's likely staying in even after it's fully done

That's also why the in-level locations aren't just excluded, but filled with money: Excluding still means you can get stuff like SMZ3 Silver Arrows in there (technically not progression, but...)

@trysdyn No need to worry about handling events, I have dumps of every single level in text-file form already, the problem is just A: managing the times where Tyrian 2.1 and Tyrian 2000 differ, B: my obsessive need to test absolutely everything to make sure it's how I like it lol

@KS Yeah thumbing through the patch data, I did brow-raise a bit at a couple of the 2000/2.1 splits already there. I get wanting to test everything though; I'm the same way about stuff I put together. If you want a hand in some way though, feel free to hit vee up.

I'm definitely known for finding weird alternative rules; most people call that being a brat. I'll take clever too~
