I would like to see more AP implementations in widespread use than Pleroma and Mastodon. It helps keep everyone honest.
And not one size is ever going to fit all. When was the last time you saw a web server that could fit /everyone's/ needs for example? It's why Apache, nginx, lighttpd, and countless others exist simultaneously and peacefully.
