So, I have some friends who refused to update Minecraft due to their favorite mods or modders leaving, particularly when the big 1.8 update changed everything around internally, initially deoptimized the game a lot, and upgraded the eula's demands.
But I am currently feeling nostalgia for one of the early Minecraft maps at the dawn of the era version 1.8 started, where a combination of command blocks and resource packs became able to implement mod-like features in vanilla. An entire era they have never seen.
@catgirl Remember when boats floated up waterfalls...?
I do...
@KS You can make that happen again now in 1.13 snapshots. The blocks under the waterfalls just need to be soulsand. Makes bubbles that push ANYTHING up super fast: boats, mobs, players, items. It's back. 😸
