@cathal in the Utopia where everything was GPL, it would be nearly impossible to use anything else due to the vitality clause, as you'd either have to give into its demands or reinvent the wheel for literally everything, which is as anti-choice as you can possibly get.
The GPL doesn't give a damn about the people working with the code, it only cares about the code itself. People should be allowed to choose a license that matches what *they* feel is most important; the GPL opposes that choice.
