...weird. Anyone know why I might be seeing a "403 action not allowed" trying to follow someone?
getting some anxiety of "have I been blocked? what did I do wrong?" but it might also be just an error or maybe we don't federate with that instance or something???

Unfortunately there's ... no real way of knowing what you did wrong short of asking them, and that in and of itself causes issues so
@KS ghhh this kind of thing gives me pretty bad anxiety, I don't like being told I did something wrong and not told _what_ I did wrong
@Felthry I know, it sucks really bad, but I don't know of any way to "fix" that that wouldn't lead to things being worse for the people blocking

honestly I don't know if being told when you're blocked would make it any better either, because then there's a significant chance that the person blocking you doesn't want to interact with you at all, not even to get an apology
and maybe they might verbally attack you too, I dunno, that wouldn't be too unexpected depending on the person in question maybe
