@krainboltgreene practically, there isn't much of a limit. instances can (and a few do) change it themselves up to the maximum allowed to be stored in the DB column

@bea @stitchxd @krainboltgreene I think my monologuing test post is somewhere along the lines of 2500 characters as well but I don't know if you want to count that because only the first few hundred actually federate

@krainboltgreene I prefer them to read the broadcast because the full body also has markup that Mastodon doesn't normally support
(think basically an extended, local version of TwitLonger)
