Jebailey was a member of the fighting game community before he started doing more organizational stuff, and left buttons on his stick deliberately unmapped

so if anyone seemed like they were listening too hard to the buttons he was pressing, he'd deliberately press one of the unmapped buttons on his stick to throw them off, and that's where the term Jebaited came from

the emote came much later
