Just to point out, it doesn't look like this is actually going to get put in unless enough people talk about it to convince Eugen otherwise. They seem to be dead set on keeping the inconsistent UI style and annoying animations, saying there's "no need for consistency" for avatars.
If you disagree, please *say something*, otherwise it's likely things are going to stay as they are forever.

be careful: not everything you read on the internet is false. you may occasionally stumble upon a rare phenomenon known as a "fact". these are hard to find intentionally but they are very powerful and very dangerous, so be sure to avoid them as best you can
