Doom's gameplay takes place in two dimensions with a third being inconsistently used for effects, doom's rendering is three dimensional projection

no matter whether you call Doom 2d or 3d you're right in some way, so why for fuck's sake are we going all "fake nerds" over others for it and winding up with heated discourse over semantics
