The magic of pausing the game removes the whole screen tearing issue >~>

It took quite a bit of work, but Tyrian Arcade is playable from the 2P side alone now. Some things are still acting up a little, but the game doesn't blow up horribly anymore (no collision, lots of effects hardcoded to only work on p1)

(I think the screen tearing is an artifact of xfce4-screenshooter, by the way.)

nevermind, I think it's just pulseaudio being shit

because OpenTyrian uses SDL 1.2 and that defaults to SDL_AUDIODRIVER=pulse

ughhhhhhhhhh

the heisenbug appears to be memory corruption

There's a really annoying heisenbug right now where the audio buffer starts freaking out and starts playing audio for 1/4th of a second, then silence for 3/4ths of a second

It's at most happened once a day and I can't find a consistent cause; and I don't know if it's something I've done or if it exists in vanilla as well

hmmm... 2p is going to take a bit of work to make it possible to drop in/out at any time. is.a.qute.dog/media/661gHDbEAZ

obviously I should set up an XMPP server here
