this isn't even the first time i've gotten randomly reminded by something else in a game, of something i put hard work and effort into, looked it up to remind myself that i can accomplish things, and instead discovered it's been butchered by a dev team that had lost any sense of direction and sanity

furthermore precipitation density was supposed to be the off button and since you removed it you also had to remove the ∞ draw distance option

made the mistake of looking up the source code again upon seeing rain falling in minecraft, and they removed a feature I worked hard on and called it an "improvement" and I just want to fucking SCREAM

one handed typing takes a lot of practice (i'd imagine especially so if you're used to home row) but it's definitely possible to get reasonably fast with it

@Tamber It was notch's response to somebody reporting shortly after the Halloween update, that trying to sleep in a bed in the nether always gave "You can only sleep at night"

"Beds explode in the nether if you try to use them" is the most petty bullshit way to fix a bug I've ever seen, and perfectly fits notch's ethos
