I'd normally use CI to make windows builds for me, but appveyor doesn't let you set it up to a private repository unless you pay them monthly, so oof
I guess I need to boot into win10 and set up VS2019 at some point, huh
@monorail @Kat the tails in ice cap thing is just, the trigger to set the vertical looping flag is in sonic's snowboarding section, which tails skips
so if you don't enter the big ring, you reach the "bottom" of the stage and the game kills you
the starpost and big ring both set the flag correctly so it works fine after
@Kat @monorail the tails thing was separate
sonic 3's collision detection had Problems™, where it failed to detect walls properly if you were running vertically
and there were various places in the game where you could embed yourself inside of walls and floors if you weren't careful because of that, i remember carnival night being particularly bad about it
https://hiddenpalace.org/Super_Ninja_Boy_(PAL_prototype)
good afternoon! here is a PAL proto of Culture Brain's "Super Ninja Boy", which was only released in the US and Japan

now if only ffmpeg didn't screw the audio up a bit at the end, huh,

@BatElite @unascribed oh no, competition,
@steph meanwhile linux users continue to wait for basic features advertised to everyone else

Today's problem: I want to follow more cute people but if my timeline moves too fast I get social anxiety
@devurandom that sound specifically only exists in doom 2, but yeah, doom had a rudimentary text chat system for LAN games and that's what it used for messages
