@cathal in the Utopia where everything was GPL, it would be nearly impossible to use anything else due to the vitality clause, as you'd either have to give into its demands or reinvent the wheel for literally everything, which is as anti-choice as you can possibly get.

The GPL doesn't give a damn about the people working with the code, it only cares about the code itself. People should be allowed to choose a license that matches what *they* feel is most important; the GPL opposes that choice.

@cathal the choice of license is one of the most important choices a software developer can make, and the entire point of the GPL and other viral licenses is to strip that choice away from who should rightfully be making it. It's a disgusting practice and it needs to stop.

this laptop was a refurbished deal on woot. (back when woot was actually good for anything, you know.)

the fan periodically makes unpleasant noises, the usb ports are flaky and like to disconnect a lot, the speakers have problems, the computer itself is too slow to run stuff like a modern web browser (FF quantum kills it)

also I've lost count of how many power cables I've gone through

but, I don't have the money to just drop on a replacement

fun fact: when I wasgrowing up I used to have actual road signs hanging on the walls of my room as decoration

there were a couple generic black text on white signs that I can't remember, but I know i did have a stop sign, and a giant one way sign that rested above my bed (I think it was used for detours and such)

@dr1ft @unascribed the reflective coating would make that a nightmare to look at when the lights are on though

@lottie "attachable" is a bit of a misnomer I think, but there exist breastforms that have stronger "backs" that are meant to support double-sided tape or other adhesives

I know it will wind up being expensive but I want to get a pair of attachable breastforms, so I'm not forced to constantly wear a bra when feeling femme
