It's that time again where my sleeping hours rolled around to early morning
It's kinda lonely
tired doggo whomst snuggl,
Also yes, I replaced the default tile graphics with a jet set of my own creation, because I'm a dork
This isn't a popup you see often
well this sure just happened
(for those not familiar with Riichi Mahjong: Blessing of Heaven is when you win as dealer without ever discarding anything, i.e. your initial hand was valid)
everyone's hype for the THPS remake and I'm all like "Grind Session remake when :<"
This is the fourth time our connection to the internet has gone down in the past 8 hours.
after a cutscene, you're given a code to "test out the TV-303" (the TV-202 is the ship you fly in the game, IIRC)
entering said code takes you to level 0-0 ... and, before I even make an attempt to piece together this, just *watch*:
the last planet, Proxima Seven, ends abruptly after the second mission (every single other planet in the game has three missions), revolving around flying into a tunnel that looks like a giant floppy disk drive, and destroying the "supercomputer" which looks like a cartoonish person in a box, in a trivial fight, then leaving through another tunnel
it ends so abruptly it even skips the normal post-level briefing
so, Terminal Velocity's last episode takes a very sudden turn from "evil borg trying to take over the universe" to "evil borg ... trying to mass-produce harmless robots and worship (what is apparently) a supercomputer???"
the briefings you're given in the last episode get very bewildered and unsure at points about what is actually going on
that moment where you go "I bet the creepiness associated with this video-game related thing from my childhood was just a product of me being young and it's actually not that creepy"
and then you look it up and it's actually creepier than you remembered
LITERALLY THE SAME GAME.
(The previous picture was Terminal Velocity running in Fury³, this is the reverse.)
Fury³ and Terminal Velocity are literally the same game.
say what you want about it, but Sonic 4 Episode 1 is the only Sonic game released in like, the past 20 years that I still get occasional desires to replay.
Even Sonic Mania, it was alright, but I don't really want to pick it up again when the game starts out with such a slog and only picks up later.
this was a real pain to get working on proton, because the launcher requires a specific ancient version of the JRE
but everything went swimmingly afterward
I am such a klutz.
I go into the kitchen to cook food and I come out with a PB&J sandwich and a burned foot.
_how am I supposed to explain this_
