Mastodon work today:

Added a new column for Direct messages.

Going to put it up on the ~other~ server to give it some good testing before I submit a PR upstream.

Alternatively you can spam me with DMs here if you want! Following me isn't a requirement.

Like this post if you want to join the hug, share it to invite a friend.

@MightyPork *florp*

I think that would be more painful for someone on a small laptop screen like myself, though; and mastodon's UI already is pretty painful with only being able to fit three columns on screen without a horizontal scrollbar

(I wish I could hide compose unless I needed it)

It's 85°F and there's a nice cool breeze in Vegas right now

Why can't we have this weather more often

actual kink: websites that still function like web sites when there is no JS

@KitRedgrave yeeep I know that feeling very well

*hugs*

@krainboltgreene I prefer them to read the broadcast because the full body also has markup that Mastodon doesn't normally support

(think basically an extended, local version of TwitLonger)

@bea @stitchxd @krainboltgreene I think my monologuing test post is somewhere along the lines of 2500 characters as well but I don't know if you want to count that because only the first few hundred actually federate

@bea github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/ Sent in an issue about the inconsistent links, though I still don't know how best to describe what's going on

(having to get ready for work doesn't help matters)

@Ninji silly blue dog, shouldn't you be awooing instead?

@bea I think ideally they should all open up in right col?

@bea this is all really weird

like, what is even going on on here and what kind of change would cause this to be happening anyway?

@bea I'm just totally befuddled at this point

@bea so like, I'm not sure how to describe this, but

the canonical url seems to have changed to /users/*** at some point in master, so any older posts that use /@*** in a mention stop working properly

and then for some reason, mentions done between two users on the same server have a URL of /@*** despite that not being the canonical URL for everybody else? so it doesn't work properly?

would this be considered a regression I guess?
