All you people throwing a fit about golf courses: they're basically one of the few pretty green highlights in this otherwise barren wasteland called Las Vegas. "Zero harm" by removing them all, my ass.
oh... oh no
I found my old livejournal
The posts go all the way back to January of 2004
Go away terrible 13 year old me ugh
I think we need a bigger trebuchet...
@00dani @devurandom quake wasn't open sourced until the very end of 1999 (not counting the leaked source)
and the ease of making new things in the faux-3d of the doom engine probably helped contribute to it staying alive for so long
@unascribed denuvo though...? afaik it adds a bunch of problems
@bootsy I trust jack
to be consistently shit
@devurandom @00dani yes, I did
"folks decided" because it was 1999 and game engines weren't exactly a freely available resource at the time
of course in 2018 the project is probably completely dead. oh well that's what happens when the head admin takes an anti-LGBT stance and burns bridges with all their programmers in the process
@BatElite This was before my days of "keep absolutely everything", so sadly no.
The silver tails thing survived to my LiveJournal, if that even still exists.
@esp *cuddles you close and gently pats your head, mm...*
they do, but it's over now, hon...
@succfemboi Sonic fancharacters sure did.
Fun fact: the first 'fursona' I ever had, back in the early 2000s (2002?), was a recolor of Tails, with no tails.
He was colored silver...
He had telekinetic (object lifting/moving) powers...
The multimedia fusion fangame I was making with him had grotesquely long load times, about a minute long...
...my god, I predicted Sonic '06...
@esp aww...
*offers a whole bunch of snuggles and hugs*
