after a cutscene, you're given a code to "test out the TV-303" (the TV-202 is the ship you fly in the game, IIRC)

entering said code takes you to level 0-0 ... and, before I even make an attempt to piece together this, just *watch*:

the last planet, Proxima Seven, ends abruptly after the second mission (every single other planet in the game has three missions), revolving around flying into a tunnel that looks like a giant floppy disk drive, and destroying the "supercomputer" which looks like a cartoonish person in a box, in a trivial fight, then leaving through another tunnel

it ends so abruptly it even skips the normal post-level briefing

so, Terminal Velocity's last episode takes a very sudden turn from "evil borg trying to take over the universe" to "evil borg ... trying to mass-produce harmless robots and worship (what is apparently) a supercomputer???"

the briefings you're given in the last episode get very bewildered and unsure at points about what is actually going on

that moment where you go "I bet the creepiness associated with this video-game related thing from my childhood was just a product of me being young and it's actually not that creepy"

and then you look it up and it's actually creepier than you remembered

LITERALLY THE SAME GAME.
