@BestGirlGrace which is to say yes, doom is much more likely to keep its stable 35fps
back when i worked on the engine keeping software rendering running at a playable framerate was sometimes a chore, and i can't imagine it's gotten any easier in the time since!
@BestGirlGrace it's not the doom engine anymore, there's so much extra stuff stapled onto it that it's about like calling goldsrc quake
@BestGirlGrace Didn't realize you put a *cast station on it! That's pretty cool.
Chilling, casually playing Doom (Archipelago) while listening to whatever you throw on this cell phone. ~w~
@exa The more time goes on, the more I lean closer to abandoning the 1.6.1 fork and just spinning up GtS on a different subdomain
Day ending in Y, Discord changed up everything and broke BetterDiscord, so there go all my CSS changes to make discord tolerable and not loaded with one-touch anxiety buttons
I hate this software *so* much
@trysdyn The detail that's always been stuck in my head about it is that if you get ambushed, you don't get to see what's attacking you until the enemy's opening turn ends. They stay silhouettes while they attack, and *then* get announced as normal right before you get control again.
It's snowing!
Snow is pretty, tbh.
@socks YMMV but I've been using my Steam Deck charger for this exact purpose for years without issue.
@trysdyn Oh fucking hell this strikes a familiar chord. And it's been almost a decade since I ditched the team that put me through a similar situation.
The most I can say is this: do not burn yourself out on people that do not respect your time and energy.
@netkitty what if I'd like you to mew more, though?
@TonicBH awooooo~
@trysdyn Did they, though? It reads more like "We're going to keep doing the thing but we swear we won't put GDQ money towards it, promise" more than "We're not going to do the thing".
